Disaster response & Rescue

In any disaster, there is typically a need of the area light to support the rescue effort. Often the first 24 first hours are critical to rescue people trapped under debris. To get ample amount of light rescue has been left with two alternatives, either erect a lot of tripod lights with cables going back and forth or bring in a heavy diesel driven light tower often at several tons of weight. Neither of these solutions provide for a fast and single person operation. Here is where Baselight excels and the reason it was built in the first place. It provides incredible light coverage in terms of football fields of light and it is easy to ship and can go on regular airplanes or even helicopters. It consumes a minimum of energy which is often a scare resource at a disaster scene.

Construction & Rentals

The rental industry servers many types of customers with equipment for hire. This places a great demand on the equipment to be easy to use, robust and safe. But it doesn't stop there. This equipment must also sustain different types of climates, from deserts to the artic and in mud, snow or sand. It must also be easy to service when parts need to be replaced. These conditions are exactly what Prime Design products are made for.

In regards to light the industry still relies heavily on the 70:s light tower design which has little to do with today's modern requirement. Its either diesel driven 1-ton units or  300 Kg electrical driven units. Neither type is well adapted towards our new world. With the introduction of Baselight LED light tower  this has all changed completely. The industry can now get the same (or more) light out of a 40Kg system while spending far less resources to ship, store and service these lights. The people relying on the light to do their work also benefit from the agility to easily move the lights around where they are most needed, instead of where they were dropped on arrival. This improves work place safety enormously in the night time. The lifetime of LED in combination with its low energy consumption makes this technology ideal.
